Great work Paul!! What attracted me to this image, besides your brilliant rendering of it, was that I had in my mind about 15 years ago to do a painting with the exact same pose of a male figure. Mine was going to be a rendering like this with a box done around the crouching figure, as if trapped. The image was to portray my interpretation of “anxiety “. I got distracted from ever creating the work, but you have inspired me. Great piece of art you have created!

Thank you Roger :-) - I did these in reaction to my mum dying and experiencing being in a situation where one can't actually DO anything!!!... guess it was more frustration really... and a blind anger at being frustrated (and nothing to punch) :-) I really like figure drawing - though I find it difficult... probably the most fun to do. “anxiety “ has taken on a whole new meaning over the last few of years!
