Description
Taken lying on my back having just walked up Fleshwick hill in the Isle of Man. This little guy just glided past in the wind.
Darkened the background to give more contrast and focus to the picture.
Shot with a Nikon D7100 using a 18-300 Nikkor lens.

Super shot, really well done!!
Paul Davenport replied:
Thank you John... I must say Im not at all comfortable photographing birds in flight... Im only just starting to get the feel of the camera, and haven't really been able to twiddle the controls fast enough!:-)

Beautiful flight capture Paul! They are so beautiful in flight when you can see all that detail in their wings and little feet! Awesome! L/F :-)
Linda Howes
beautiful capture! favor
Paul Davenport replied:
Thank you for the f Linda. Felt rather fortunate to get this with a 300... I have an older, longer lens, but didn't have it with me at the time! A few weeks ago I spent hours trying to photograph some swallows... they weren't flying away!... they were flying round and around in tight circles... and I would swear it was just to avoid the camera :-)
