Description
I took the original "Embryonic II" charcoal drawing and overlaid it onto stained and coloured watercolour paper, using layer filters to modify the colour.
These coloured versions are done for fun, but I find them rather fascinating to do, modifying the original drawing, and making them so different in the feeling it evokes. To me, the original has a feeling of being persona and solitary, while this one, the embryo of the universe.

Thank you for your kind words Regina, Im very happy you like them. The original drawings came about as I was really searching for a distinctive way of making marks - and the colour versions started out a happy accident really, as one week I didn’t wan’t to go out in the rain to life classes and started playing… they were rather unexpected in lots of ways :-) Very much feel Ive lost my mojo in lockdown though and feel very un creative at the moment. Thank you very much for the l/f.

Happy you like it... I actually feel uncomfortable about doing these colour versions of the drawings... always feel I should maybe use these as a jump off point to do some textured paintings (but haven't done so yet!)
