Title
emergent II - textured second version
Artist
Paul Davenport
Medium
Digital Art - Charcoal & Compressed Charcoal On Paper And Digital
Description
This is the second drawing in the 'emergent' series - which are trying to show an awakening, stimulation, inspiration, birth, revival, and a sense of impending, something is about to happen. made into a textured version which is a scan of the drawing, overlaid with a scan of homemade paper and layer filters used to modify the colour and densities.
The original drawing is done with charcoal and compressed charcoal onto 420 x 594mm Daler Rowney 200g/m2 Fine Grain HeavyWeight paper. The background texture is a scan of homemade paper stained with inks and watercolour, and started off as being predominantly green.
When producing these textured versions, I inevitably end up with several versions of colour and overall composition if I try other sheets of the homemade paper. This is one of the other versions I produced that I rather like.
