Description
Photograph of what I think is a Red Jungle Fowl rooster strutting its stuff. I was on a walk, roughly halfway up a mountain when he suddenly rushed very excitedly towards me like a long lost friend. Which was rather strange as it was in the middle of nowhere really, with no farms or any property around, so suspect he either got lost or was left there.
I thought he was rather pretty, and I think he thought that too the way he was showing off.
Shot with a Nikon D7100 with 18-300 Nikkor lens.

Handsome bird, congratulations on your features
Paul Davenport replied:
Thank you Michaela! - he is rather handsome isn't he - surprised the heck out of me bursting out of the undergrowth and running towards me:-). I guess someone had dumped him there... but at least it was a nice place to get dumped!

You are (pretty)! what a proud guy! l/f
Paul Davenport replied:
I was seriously tempted to put him in my backpack as I think my sisters chickens are getting very broody!

Fabulous portrait photo of a colorful rooster with great light, dark background, colors, details, perspective and composition, Paul! F/L

He's magnificent Paul! If he's been dumped he seems to be surviving well, he's in great condition.

Wow! Truly handsome roo Paul! Featured on Poetic Poultry! http://fineartamerica.com/groups/poetic-poultry-.html
Paul Davenport replied:
Thank you for the feature Anita :-) ... he acted very much like a domesticated bird the way he rushed towards me, its a shame if someone just dumped him there, they love people around (even if that is mainly for food).
