Description
Photographed at The Chasms, in the Isle Of Man in the UK. I actually went to photograph a small ancient stone circle there, but was rather distracted by the unusual rock formations. The Chasms, is a walled off area of coastline where the cliff is fracturing right down to the sea and slowly opening up… great for climbers wanting chimney experience as there are towers of rock three to four hundred feet high!
There are narrow trails meandering amongst, and over the crevices if one is feeling adventurous, and when I was younger, used to scamper around this area like a goat. And distinctly remember jumping from the left hand rock onto the right hand rock, turning around and realising that I couldn’t jump back off again, but I would have to clime off. The three hundred foot drop on all sides but one couldn’t have bothered me much, although just looking at it now unnerves me!
Shot with a Nikon D7100 with 18-300 Nikkor lens.
