Medium
Painting - Acrylic Paint And Gravel On Perspex And Digital
Description
Further explorations into the nature of the lusciousness of paint, texture and colour.
The use of the gravel was to inspire tension between itself and the smoothness of the acrylic.
Named such purely as -fuge is a combining form, either expelling or dispelling a specified thing or in a specified way…
and I rather liked both the grammatical and abstract concept.
Produced by applying acrylic paint and gravel onto red perspex… I then applied a solid colour overlay and did the cutouts.

Lorena Cassady
Drew me right in to linger
Paul Davenport replied:
Im very happy you said that Lorena:-) I had two full sets - one with the overlay and one without, and decided I found the set with the overlay more intriguing... I didn't know if that was just me, as I knew what was being obscured :-) - though still have absolutely no idea why I went for the overlay colours... it's a mystery !
