Some more photographs and digital manipulations of paving slabs, who's compositions of miscellaneous detritus and remnants on them I find increasingly interesting.

They were photographed in full colour, then the images processed to highlight the random flotsam and jetsam on the compositions… this usually involving duplicating the photograph and having four or five stacked over each other with different filters.

Shot with a Nikon D7100 with 35m and 18-300 Nikkor lenses.

I started off in fine art, by going to Wakefield School of Art and then St Martins in London to do Sculpture, I have spent most of my time (after going to Camberwell School of Art for a Graphics degree) doing graphic design, working through various sectors including publishing, sales promotion, marketing, and design consultancies, before starting my own company in 1995. I have always to some extent kept up with the fine art - even when this just meant going out sketching with my dad... and its always played a big part in my design work.
