Description
A project started originally for a music challenge. Though rather laborious I really enjoy the process of doing these - they’re fun! - so have kept on producing them even though the challenge ended years ago!
I don't have synaesthesia... but if I listen to music with my eyes closed, I do experience colours and shapes.
Experimenting with this, I brushed the cobwebs off my keyboard and interfaced it with some video feedback equipment and my computer, then “fiddled” with the images somewhat, sometimes doing screen grabs or photographing my screen- the first few in Photoshop, and now in Affinity. The process is technically called “winging it” and just seeing what happens.
