Artist's Description
Samhain was another of the four main festivals of the Gaelic calendar, marking the last harvest and the beginning of winter. Traditionally, Samhain was a time to take stock of the herds and food supplies, being the time of the gathering together of resources to survive the coming winter.
Wiccans also celebrate a variation of Samhain as one of the yearly Sabbats, and is thought by most to be the most important. About Paul Davenport
I started off in fine art, by going to Wakefield School of Art and then St Martins in London to do Sculpture, I have spent most of my time (after going to Camberwell School of Art for a Graphics degree) doing graphic design, working through various sectors including publishing, sales promotion, marketing, and design consultancies, before starting my own company in 1995. Thank you!, glad you like it ... I always get carried away when using oil paint - I forget how lovely it is, just as "stuff".
