Fount I - textured

Drawing - Compressed Charcoal On Paper
Description
This "Fount" version was created by scanning in the original compressed charcoal drawing and overlaying onto a scan of stained, high texture homemade paper. Then I used various filters to revise and change the colours.

This starts off with the woman and the movement so graceful and beautiful and then then genius idea of adding your handmade paper and watercolor to it has pushed it so much further. To me, I see her ascending from a cave with a waterfall guiding her towards the light. I love your work.

PS Have you tried wetted rice paper with watercolours Paul (as in Chinese painting)? Although not sure how the pencil drawings would go on rice paper.....*below comment

OMG Paul! This is so incredibly beautiful....the hand made paper adds so much dimension and a wonderful quality to this gorgeous drawing....the touch of pale blue and the light really add also to the wonderfully exhilarating feeling the this beautiful dancer brings....her form is perfect my friend!!!:-))) jd
Paul Davenport replied:
Happy you like it : -) I rather like the result... though a bit frustrated it only exists digitally! have been pondering on how to create them "for real"... and can only think of maybe black ink onto stained and textured plaster or concrete. I have worked with concrete before... and its very messy:-)
