Description
Photographed near my sisters house, in the Isle Of Man in the UK. Having just started out on a walk, I was rather perturbed to see a dark line on the horizon, which very quickly swept towards me to become what is in the picture.
I was about one hundred feet above sea level and was about level with the bottom of the cloud. Having never come across anything like this before I had no idea if I should be worried or not.
Extremely intimidating and very beautiful. As the front hit me I looked up to see a meandering pressure wave preceding the cloud, through which I could see clear blue sky. Very odd. I had put the camera away by then as the rain hit me, so missed capturing it (damn)
Shot with a Nikon D7100 with 18-300 Nikkor lens.
